Parents’ Place is a 28 year old non-profit family resource center dedicated to promoting a community commitment to healthy parenting, strengthening and supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children of all ages.

Parents’ Place offers classes, home visits, referrals, support groups, and supervised visitation to families throughout Cowlitz County.

Parents Place has two classes starting in February.

Love and Logic: Adults Supporting Youth with Challenging Pasts starts Friday February 20 from 10am to noon. This six-week class is for people raising or working with children who have experienced trauma and/or loss. A $10 workbook is required to successfully complete the class. Children over two years old are unable to be in class due to the topics being discussed.

Battles, Hassles, Tantrums, and Tears is a four-week class focusing on anger, appropriate discipline, and problem-solving as a family. Battles, Hassles, Tantrums, and Tears starts Wednesday October 1 from 6:30-8pm. This four week class covers parental anger, children's anger, appropriate discipline, family communication, and more. $20 per week. You are welcome to ask for a lower rate. No childcare provided. If you need to bring children with you to class, please bring snacks and something to keep them busy.
