Parents’ Place is a 28 year old non-profit family resource center dedicated to promoting a community commitment to healthy parenting, strengthening and supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children of all ages.

Parents’ Place offers classes, home visits, referrals, support groups, and supervised visitation to families throughout Cowlitz County.

Parents Place has three classes starting in February.

Love and Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun starts Thursday February 5 from 6-8pm. Don't let the name prevent you from attending. This five week class is appropriate for raising any age child. Learn how to go "brain dead", use "energy drains", enforceable statements, and more.

Battles, Hassles, Tantrums, and Tears is a four-week class focusing on anger, appropriate discipline, and problem-solving as a family. Battles, Hassles, Tantrums, and Tears starts Wednesday October 1 from 6:30-8pm. This four week class covers parental anger, children's anger, appropriate discipline, family communication, and more. $20 per week. You are welcome to ask for a lower rate. No childcare provided. If you need to bring children with you to class, please bring snacks and something to keep them busy.
