These topics are covered during the five-week Guiding Good Choices class: • How to promate health and well-being during the teen years. • How to develop healthy beliefs and clear standards • How to deal with anger in a positive way. • How to say no, keep your friends, and still have fun (youth are invited to this session). • How to strengthen family bonds. This 4wk. class is for people with children birth to 5yrs. old in their life. Wk. 1 covers ages and stages, parenting styles, building the bond, the importance of play, and self-care. Wk. 2 covers brain development, child safety, rules, routines, and age appropriate discipline techniques. Wk. 3 focuses on age appropriate consequences, tantrums, and encouragement. Wk. 4 wraps it up with more brain development, school readiness, and the importance of family.
