Parents’ Place is a 28 year old non-profit family resource center dedicated to promoting a community commitment to healthy parenting, strengthening and supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children of all ages.

Parents’ Place offers classes, home visits, referrals, support groups, and supervised visitation to families throughout Cowlitz County.

We have three classes starting in September. All classes are $20 per week, adjustable upon request. No childcare provided. If you need to bring children with you to class, bring snacks and something to keep them busy during class. 

Love and Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun is a five week class appropriate for raising children of any age. It starts Friday September 5 from 10am to noon.

Active Parenting Today is a six week class for people raising children four to fourteen years old. It starts Tuesday September 9 from 6-8pm.

We are offering two versions of Love and Logic in July.

Love and Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun™ starts Thursday July 10 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Don't let the name fool you. This five week class is appropriate for raising any age child. Learn techniques that you can put to use immediately. $20 per week, adjustable upon request. If you need to bring children with you to class, bring snacks and something to keep them busy.

After 10 years or so, Parents Place is offering the Positive Discipline class in May. This seven week class evolves with the participants. It is a lively class with potential topics of: Why are you doing that?, Punishment vs. Consequences, Praise vs Encouragement, Sibling Rivalry, Time and Money Management, and more. This class will meet on Tuesdays from 6-8pm starting May 13. The fee is $20 per week, reduced upon request. There is no childcare available. If you need to bring children with you to class, bring snacks and something to keep your children busy during class.
